The game runs on your device
You do not need an account. The game stores progress, checkpoints, save slots and control and audio settings in its own local storage. Connected-controller information is used on your device to process controls and show button prompts. This information is not uploaded to a developer-operated server.
The game uses an on-device clock for animation and screen timing, not to identify or track you. Version 1.0 has no developer-operated advertising, analytics, tracking or online account service. It does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or location.
App stores and external websites
Apple handles App Store purchases and Google handles Google Play purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details. Store diagnostics and device backups depend on the store provider and your device settings. The Android game disables Android automatic app backup in its application configuration; device manufacturers may handle device-to-device transfers differently.
If you choose to open the A Year for Will fundraising link, your browser opens GoFundMe. Its own privacy and cookie policies apply. Viewing the dedication inside the game does not load that website.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you send so we can respond to your enquiry. Correspondence is handled through Microsoft’s Outlook/Hotmail email service. Please send only information needed to explain the problem, not passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information.
Support correspondence is kept only as needed to deal with your enquiry and any related follow-up or legal obligations. You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information you have sent. Any information that must be retained will be explained in our response.
This support website
These pages do not include advertising, embedded social feeds, developer-added analytics or a contact form. The hosting provider necessarily processes connection information, such as your IP address and browser request, to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the offline game.
Deleting local data
The game stores its progress and settings on your device. On Android, clearing the game’s app storage or uninstalling the game removes its local data. On iOS or iPadOS, deleting the app removes its local data; offloading the app may retain it. Backup or device-transfer copies, where available, depend on your platform and device settings.
Changes and questions
Changes to data handling will be reflected in this policy and the applicable Apple App Store and Google Play disclosures. For privacy questions or requests, email jim_robbo@hotmail.com.
